Scripture Emphasis:

Gen 15:6 “Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness.”

As our study of the names of God comes to an end, we are looking at two of the most opposite passages in Scripture.  They give a great bird’s eye view into the faith walk of Abram.  Both passages, though being completely opposite, offer a precursor to God’s revelation of El Shaddai.

Let us be thankful for two truths this morning…

  • God never ________ the struggles of His saints
  • God always ________ those to help us in our walk
  1. In Genesis 15, El Shaddai comes to those who desire to live by _________ – Gen. 15:1-6
  • God says, “I am your shield” – that’s _______________
  • God says, “I am your exceedingly great reward” – that’s _____________
  • God did because Abram remained in a _______________ land
  • God did because His promised seed was still _______________
  • God knows exactly what we ____________, when we need it
  1. In Genesis 16, El Shaddai comes to those who grow _____________ with Him – Gen. 16
  • Instead of waiting on God, Abram and Sarai _______________
  • There are times in life when God leaves us ______________
  • These times are meant to teach us to _________ upon Him
  • “I’m going to have you wait, but in your waiting, I will _____________ you”
  • “I’m going to have you wait, but in your waiting, I will _________ you”
